So my 5-week old kitten bit me yesterday while I was trying to feed her. She didn't intentionally bite me but accidentally bit my finger as I was trying to feed her. The bite broke the skin and there was some blood but it's fine now.
The reason I'm writing this is because my kitten suddenly started hissing and growling at her mom today. Like for half an hour straight. She was totally fine in the morning. In the afternoon, she did have a few bites of cooked egg though. She has only been drinking her mom's milk all this time except for a few small bites of food here and there. I'm not sure if all that egg was too much for her. Her mom loves the stuff so the kitten ended up having some as well when we put out the food for her mom. She was fine right afterwards but an hour or so later when my dad went into the kitchen, the kitten was hissing and growling at the mom and anything that moved.
I should also mention that the mom has been trying to drag the kitten to different parts of the house by the neck. The kitten has been resisting that. But apart from that I don't know what else could have caused this episode of aggression. She has calmed down and is playing with her mom again. My dad tried giving her some water and she did sniff at it closely.
I should also mention that she hasn't been outside the house. The momma cat (our only other pet cat) recieved her rabies shot last December. All our pet dogs are also vaccinated for rabies. We do have two other cats that loiter around the house. One is my aunt's cat who lives next door but is vaccinated. The other is a cat that used to live with us (the momma cat's mom), she's not vaccinated because she only comes around the house once in a while and not as tame as the momma cat. But she's pregnant right now so she's been loitering around the house more than ever. I just saw her sitting on our front wall and she looks fine, aloof as ever.
