There's a lot of pseudoscience when searching Google for this topic, and I thought I may get better answers here.
I purchased an Air Wick air freshener pack from Costco yesterday. It says it is free from phthalates, and made with essential oils.
I know some essential oils can be toxic to animals, but I'm assuming they probably have to be in pretty high concentration? These air fresheners are quite popular so my assumption is they wouldn't be so popular and easily available if they were impacting pets in a negative way... But I still wanted to ask here, as I do have a cat and dog and don't want to inadvertently compromise them in any fashion.
Are they generally safe to use if they're free from phthalates?
