It’s hard losing a loved one…

My family and I found him at a shelter, already 8 years old. He stared intently and would not avert his gaze. We met him, he cuddled under my chair, and we instantly fell in love with him. We took him home, he ran out the back door, I cursed as I ran mile after mile not knowing you were not supposed to chase, but we learned. We learned about all of his idiosyncrasies. We loved him. We miss him.

I never loved a pet as much as I did this guy. My heart of broken as are my wife and kids. He fell asleep at home, peaceful and loved.
