Hey everyone, I need advice on where to go from here.
I have a 4 year old Cockalier dog that is very reactive around other dogs. Thankfully, my mom is willing to train her but she's also clueless about dogs since she's never had one before. My dog absolutely loses her mind around other dogs that we're heading towards an ultimatum of what to do with her.
There are 2 options here:
1. We keep her, train her, and let her live with us for as long as I stay BUT that means I gotta stay living with my parents longer (23M). I also want to move out on my own just don't know when.
- Give her away now to a friend of mine who wants her, and let her deal with the behaviour training. This option is less favorable to me as it means I'll be gone from my daughter (dog, but she's my baby lol)
What do I do? If I keep her, I have to invest and stay with her. If I give her away, I move on in life without her. Need some advice!!!
