Backyard visitor/ Neighbors Bunny

I live in a relatively small community, and I'm introverted so I don't talk to too many people. But I've been getting a visitor non-stop in my own backyard everyday, maybe it's because he/she likes how big of a backyard we have, hence all the grass and weeds he/she can eat! (Haven't checked gender of bunny yet 🐇) anyways, our neighbors haven't been caring to reach out to us at all about their bunny, should I take care of and foster he/she until I work the courage and ask them if they no longer desire of keeping him/her? Because at this point he might as well be ours 🤷🏻‍♀️.. I really feel bad for bunny, I want bunny to have amazing life. Should I step up? He is getting use to our presence, and maybe it should happen... My neighbors don't bother, and it's been more then 2 weeks. I'm seriously already considered this bunny as family. And we have the neighbors a chance to let us know if they wanted him back, but they just kind of gave up for a while on the bunny it feels like.. We given him wate, plenty of food for bunnies, but is there anything else I'm missing? He hides in our bushes since we have doggos. But I'm feeling like it isn't good enough. So let me know what are the bunny owner requirements. I must care for him/her since no one else is. Thank you for reading through 💞
