What breed, sex and age is your cat as well?
I'm on year 5 of my aloof Russian blue/domestic shorthair female, had her since 8 weeks old. I think she was a stray kitten before rescuing her. Zero interest in me or my girlfriend. Best we get is she sometimes likes being in the same room as us. No touching of course. She is well taken care of in all categories.
My 12 week old male tuxedo cat was affectionate from day 1 though.
