I’m new to having a cat and a dog at the same time but for the most part not too many problems.They tolerate one another and while I wouldn’t call them best friends they often like to be in vicinity of one another and approach one another semi regularly to sniff one another. The past few days my mother has found her bed urinated in and one time with both feces and urine. We assumed it was the dog because he is newer than the cat and the dog has severe separation anxiety soo we figured it was his way of showing he was angry when people in the house would go out. We got a cage and after it happened yesterday we made him sleep in the cage. This morning my mom went back into her room after taking a shower to find feces in her bed. The dog was still in the cage so it was the cat the whole time. Why would he do this? His liter box is changed every 1-2 days. Also why is it my moms bed specifically he keeps doing it on? Is he like just jealous of the attention the dog gets in general from her?
