I’ve been thinking of getting a dog to help keep me company at my remote job and give me something to do once I’m off. I’ve been considering a puppy (small/medium breed), but concerned about my ability to sleep. On average, about how long would you say it takes to crate train a puppy? That is, it will sleep through the night (w/ potty breaks as needed) and I can leave it alone for at least a few hours in the day without whining and barking. I’ve read online to incrementally leave the puppy alone, but it didn’t really recommend a pace.
