So my friend got a kitten and turns out it has ringworm and now everyone who has come in contact with that cat has ringworm. I caught it very very early as I was already on the lookout and I’ve been very diligent about getting rid of it on myself but I can’t honestly see how it’s possible to get rid of it if spores are everywhere. I’m certain my cat has it he’s been chewing his paws more so I’ve bathed him with vinegar and dawn dish soap and ordered medicine the vet told me to get so when that comes in I’ll be diligently treating him as well. On myself I use ringworm spray, cream, tea tree oil, fungal wash, and I was prescribed medication and I only have 3 spots so I feel that I’m set. However I have no idea how I’m going to permanently get it out of my apartment so we don’t get reinfected.
I can’t quarantine my cat because I live in a studio and my bathroom is too small for him to be in there for an extended period. I have carpet and an upholstered fabric bed. So how tf am I gonna get rid of it if spores are everywhere?? We’ll get rid of just to get it again. This seems hopeless and like I’ll be in this horrible cycle for the rest of my life of just deep cleaning daily.
