So, I have year-round allergies and it gets worse during the spring season. I live in a state with terrible pollen levels, which doesn’t help. Anyway, I’m mildly allergic to cats, but I’ve lived with a cat before and my allergy symptoms for the cat basically went away. So I got a kitten 8 months ago and at the time he was 2 months old. I had a runny nose for a few days, but cleared up after and didn’t have any allergy symptoms until my allergies started acting up again 3 months ago. I brush my cat often, vacuum, have an air filter on 24/7, and take Zyrtec daily but I still get a runny nose from time to time. I’m not sure if it’s from the cat, but I don’t know why I would experience allergy symptoms again. Could it be because he’s almost an adult cat and sheds more? I’m just having a hard time trying to decide if it’s the pollen outside or my cat affecting my allergies.
