When I got my kitten I was told he was about 3 months old, I later found out he was actually barely a month. The first day he came home with me he immediately started exploring, he was such a nice cute kitty but as he started growing he became a completely different cat, he started bitting me and it was not playful kind of biting. Whenever he got the zoomies he would stare at me with his dilated pupils, ears pinned back, heavy breathing and I would usually see him getting prepared to bite me so I would try to distract him. I’ve tried Everything to get him to stop, whenever he was being nice i would give him treats, I yell NO and clap when he bites me, I’ll put him away for about 10 - 15 minutes and when I get him he is chill for a while then goes back to the same thing. I was told neutering would change his behavior, and it kind of did because he doesn’t run around as much but now his biting habit is even worse. ( he is now about 8 months old) He will be playing then come bite my arm of leg and run away, he will completely attach himself to me so it’s hard to get him to stop, then I’ll put him away from me and he will come back to bite even stronger (it’s not just me he is the same way towards my husband) he has plenty of toys, a big cat tower, scratching posts, etc. He loves playing in his litter box and lately he has been sleeping a lot, he likes to get inside his crate/cage which I leave open, but Everytime he is not sleeping he’s biting. He knows it’s wrong to do it because he runs away when he does it, just like when he does other stuff he’s not supposed to and I tell him no he will meow back at me then run away. Before getting neutered he used to cuddle with me and sleep next to me, now he does neither of those, the only time he lets me pet him is when he wakes up he follows me to the bathroom purring, he also cries in the morning for me to wake up. Another problem is that whenever my niece (1 yr old) comes over he will also claw and attack her, he hides then bites her, runs away then comes back to bite her. I think that he will probably bite or attack my baby when she is born. I don’t wanna give him up for adoption because I’m scared of him going to a bad family. I also don’t know if he has gotten more aggressive because of the neutering, the pregnancy, his age, or he’s just a mean cat that will never change. I’ve had plenty of cats when I was younger and have never had this type of problem with them, they would play bite but that’s about it, as soon as they were told No or moved away they would stop.
