We got new kitten (3 months old) about 3 weeks ago. I'm a bit worried his fighting with my 7 years old cat might be too much? Or is it playing?

Hey guys, I've had this 7 years old cat since he was a baby and recently my girlfriend wanted to have her own kitten so we adopted one 3 weeks ago. They seem to get along not too bad (old cat was a bit anxious at first), and they often sleep on the same couch, etc.

However, whenever they start ''playing'' or ''play fighting'' I always feel like it turns a bit too intense? Some hissing comes out of my old cat sometimes and they seem to be biting each other pretty hard...

My old cat has always had a habit of biting me and my girlfriend pretty hard too, did he teach that to the kitten somehow and thats how they play? Are these fights too much?
