Our 5 year old neutered rat terrier/russel mix in the last month has started urinating in the corners of our couches even after watching him go outside and seeing him go to the bathroom will come back in and 5mins later he will go on our couch.
We took him to the vet and he is healthy, no bladder infections or anything like that. Vet said that it is all behavioral.
So we have been putting him in the kennel even if gone for 5mins. And just keeping our eye on him in general during the day and evening. But even in doing all this he still manages to sneak and find time to urinate in my couch!
As for changes around the house, we cannot think of any changes within the last month that would of trigger this. The only big change was we had a baby but she is 9months old now and this just recently started and he hasn’t been treated any differently if anything he is even more spoiled as our other 2 kids have been more attached to him the last several months.
Any other suggestions on how to break him from this??
