I noticed a few days ago on a walk that the skin around his anus is red more than normal. He’s also been licking it a lot. I’m not sure if the licking has caused the irritation or if he’s licking because it’s irritated though. He does tend to get dry skin this time a year and I add coconut oil into his food to help. Although he doesn’t seem to be scratching anymore than usual. Otherwise he seems fine, normal demeanor, no bloody stool or bloodied/ scabbed skin around the anus.
Anything topical or internal I can give to help?
He’s about 11/12 y/o, lab mix (no idea what he’s mixed with)
