Wondering if anyone has actually gone the route of trying to prevent enucleation with an opthamologist. My dog had some sort of accident and now has a severe ulcer on her cornea that is bulging - took her to an emergency clinic and after running a million tests, blood work etc., RX drops, they were pressuring me to remove the eye today but I feel like I need to do more research (also their estimate is like 3 x higher because it would be emergency surgery). Has anyone successfully saved their dog’s eye and avoided enucleation? Also any recommendations for clinics in SK or AB that are reasonably priced? I’m not sure I can get in to see an ophthalmologist on such short notice but this all happened so fast I’m just trying to figure out what to do.
