Feeling guilty about adopting my cat

I just signed to adopt a cat who is 7 months old and has lived with his foster family since he was a small kitten. This cat is very scared of new people but is very very affectionate and loving towards his foster mom and her daughter. I was made aware that initially he will be scared but with time he will become more comfortable around me. I asked his foster mom if he’d be sad to leave and she said that he is quite close to her and her daughter but with time he will become affectionate with me and my family. This is the only family my cat knows, and I feel like a monster for separating him. I wish I could let him know that his foster home only had him temporarily and were working in finding a good home but he probably thinks that is his home. Should I back-out of adopting him? I pick him up on Wednesday. His foster already has a lot of cats, the lady said she would keep him but she already has foster failed with 4 cats and can’t keep more.
