So my 3 kitties after 4 months have scratched their way through the carpet on their cat tree, there's now big holes where the wood underneath is exposed. My question is should I just remove the carpet and leave the wood for them to scratch (is the wood safe)? Or do I just toss it and buy a new one (if so any good recommendations on sturdy ones that can last)? Thank you in advance to anyone with any suggestions! :,)
