I just adopted an 8 week old kitten and he has ear mites in both ears. I see the poor little guy occasionally scratch them and shake his little head in discomfort. I booked a vet appointment but it's not until Monday evening.
I was wondering if I should attempt to treat it myself before the vet appointment or will he be OK to wait? Is there anything I can do to relieve him a bit? I asked the vet assistant whether I should give him over the counter cat eardrops but she said they may not be very effective. Will he be OK for the next 4 days until his appointment?
