Lately, my cat has been lunging at me and biting me whenever I'm near my bed. Why?

Note that I don't mean the usual play-biting, this is always completely out of nowhere. Besides, he rarely bites me and when he DOES play-bite, it's nothing like this.

He is a 1 year old male Oriental Shorthair/Siamese (the skinny alien looking ones), he was neutered in October, he's normally pretty sweet and gentle.

This almost always happens by my bed, whether I'm going to sleep, making the sheets, sitting on it, sitting on the floor against it, etc. It's not every single time, but it's often enough to annoy me.

He stares at me with these big ass eyes, gets all tense and puffs his tail, and then attaches himself to my head or my back and fuckin CHOMPS DOWN. Not to the point of breaking skin, but definitely harder than normal. No meowing, growling, hissing, nothing. He does pin his ears back sometimes.

I tried pushing him off of me, but that made him repeatedly start jumping at me. I tried walking away, to which he responds by either jumping onto my back or attaching himself to my legs. I tried petting him, which turns into me holding this cat back while he tries with all his force to lunge at me. All I can really do is just cover my head and wait til he stops, but he takes that as an invitation more than anything.

I dunno why he does this, he can get bratty but he's really not an aggressive cat. After he's done trying to kill me, he crawls under the covers, grooms my face and my hair, and falls asleep in my arms. He's attached to me 24/7, if I'm sitting down he's guaranteed to be glued onto my lap. If he's not on my lap, he's no more than 3 feet away from me. He doesn't hang out in my bed unless I'm there.

Why's he such an asshole when I'm at my bed? How do I make him stop?
