Yesterday, I took my two, 6 month old female cats (sisters) to the vet to get neutered. When I returned to collect them, I walked in and my heart sank. The vet simply said 'I've got some bad news' as he was trying to give CPR to my lifeless cat.
Apparently her heart stopped due to the anesthesia, and she just never woke up. It's rare and occurs in approximately every 1 in 800 cats, even though she was healthy, happy and full of life. Her sister is fine as is recovering slowly.
It's painful, she was playing and giving cuddles the same day before taking her, happy as ever. I'll miss her forever, and am grateful for the little lovely time I had with her.
I'll attach a photo of the two fluffy sisters spooning (she's the one on the left).
