My cat is racist towards Chinese people?

This started off as a joke, but when I introduced a second Chinese person to mako (my cat) this afternoon, he became hostile and nasty out of nowhere. And before you tell me that this is something else, let me walk you through how I came to this conclusion. I'll start with my cat's background

I took in mako at 3 weeks old from a friend's friend's family who found an abandoned litter. It was quite the experience to learn how to take care of a kitten that young because I was expecting him to be 6-7 weeks old (what the family had told me). So overall, he's really friendly and chill. He likes his personal space, but doesn't mind being picked up, and approaches all strangers to sniff them out and doesn't mind pets. I even take him outside once in a while on a harness since he loves it. I've moved with him 3 times, and travel with him a fair bit. He's got all his shots and is neutered. He's just about 1 year and 2 months old now.

He must have met over 100+ people by now all of varied ages and backgrounds. One of my friends, lets call him X, came over last spring, and mako became hostile and nasty (puffed tail, aggressive meows, and swatting) out of nowhere, and kept blocking my friend's way. He didn't do anything to mako, and the only time he ever gets confrontational is when he's playing. I even tried getting my friend to give a treat to him, but as soon as he got it, he growled, and went back to being hostile to him. I thought this was a one-off occasion since it was so peculiar and unlike him. So we tried again with friend X during the summer. He came over, and mako had the same response! Only him. X is Chinese. He has ducks in his backyard, but has no animals indoors. It was so weird, but I attributed it to the way that X was ignoring mako, and a negative first impression.

Then today, my other friend (Y) who is also Chinese comes over for help on a project. As soon as Y walks in, Mako takes a couple whiffs of him like he does with anyone. And lo and behold, Mako has the same exact response as he did with X. Aggressive meows, puffed tail, swatting, and blocking his path. X doesn't have any animals either. The only common thing between X and Y is that they're both Chinese. Out of the 100+ people mako has met and been friendly to, I realize that he hasn't really met any Asian people other than them. Am I going crazy, or is my cat actually racist lmao
