Need advice on my cats behavior

My cat is two. I adopted her when she was about seven weeks old. They didn’t know her back story but since she was young and had been there at least a week before I got her I assume something must’ve happened to be away from mama so young. I have had cats my whole life but they were always barn cats so she’s my first indoor cat. I’ve never had any issues with previous cats I’ve owned and I’ve only ever been attacked once and I was six and it was my fault. Ever since she was a kitten she was very affectionate most of the time. Loved to cuddle and very attached to me she follows me everywhere. However she would turn on a dime and bite. Not a nibble mind you. She would bite hard usually if we were just sitting together so I would walk away and she would come after my feet and wouldn’t stop until either she was in a different room or I was for a few minutes. This has happened since I got her.

I’d usually put her in her room for a few minutes so she would calm down. I’ve tried redirecting to a toy because at first I thought it was play and since she probably hadn’t been socialized long enough by her mother she didn’t understand. She goes right back to being friendly after she’s had a few minutes. I’ve had cats long enough to pay attention to body language but I’ve never noticed any change before she bites and if I do I immediately stop what I’m doing and put distance between us. Just this morning I came back from the store and she was on the counter acting perfectly fine I put my hand out she rubbed her head on it and I started to pet her she didn’t want it so I pulled my hand away and she pulled back her ears and lunged at me. I’ve tried so many things but I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing that I’m not aware of or if there’s something else that’s the problem. How can I help her?
