Ive had a black male cat since he was a kitten of about 7 weeks and he’s currently about to be 2 in a few months. So I’ve had him for a little a year and a half. Him and I had a strong relationship when he was very young. I taught him his name and he would respond to it and my calls. He would always come to me when I’d call him to sleep at night too. And he would always sleep with me. When he was young I lived in an apartment with a couple of roommates who had a dog and a cat. The cat was his best friend the dog he just coexisted with. I also had a Queensland blue heeler puppy at the time whom my cat did not like. Living with my old roommates was incredibly stressful due to them living like hoarders. So once I moved out, ironically I move into another unit in the same apartment complex, that looks identical to my old Apartment almost exactly as well. However I ended up having to re home the Queensland because of his activity levels and me just wanting to give him more then I could offer. And hopefully make my cat more comfortable. After we moved he was hiding a lot and meowing at the door which looked like my roommates old room. He thought we were still in the same place. So when I moved here it was just me, my girlfriend, and my cat. I ended up getting another dog about a couple months later who is much easier. Shes very playful and very sweet and has shown interest in wanting to be his friend many times, and he never gives her the time of day. Swats at her and hisses sometimes too. Little later down the road after I adopt my new dog, My girlfriend had been wanting a cat for a while, and maybe we thought a friend would help Morgana become a bit more social. So I get her a black male kitten identical to mine, and instantly they became friends. And still are to this day, In fact the new kitten seems to love the dog more than him because she plays with him much more. However, since I've lived here in this apartment he rarely shows me any time of day or affection anymore. However he will sit there and meow at my roommates door or go running to his room as soon as he gets home. He will also go as soon as he calls his name, which really hurts my feelings because He ignores me every time I call his name and call out for him. And he definitely knows hes doing it cause his ears twitch when i call him and he looks away. So he definitely knows. He also does not sleep with me anymore, acts angry whenever i pick him up (Which he was okay with before), and never plops on me at my desk anymore either. Which he would FORCEFULLY do every time. I've never done anything to him. I love this guy to death and I really wish he still treated me the way he used to. Can I get some help from people who are more knowledgeable with cats than I am?
