We have had our two indoor/outdoor cats for several years, and we recently adopted a stray pup (about 1 yr old) that showed up on our property. We just started letting him into the house (he had been living in our shed for a little while before he had his shots and everything). One of our cats seems okay with the dog some days, but other days he seems afraid and won’t come inside our house if the dog is anywhere near the front door. Our other cat is the opposite and hisses at him whenever he gets near. The dog is afraid of that cat, so all of the animals seem a little uneasy now.
Will they become friends eventually given time, or could this end up getting worse? How can we train them to get along?
