Hey everyone,
My 6 year old kitty isn’t eating his wet food. He’s always been more of a dry food cat but normally he eats at least half of what we put down (half a pouch of wet food). But yesterday and this morning he just sniffs at it then walks off!
We’ve tried him with both gravy and jelly now. His brother eats both so we know the food isn’t bad.
I’ve tried withholding the dry food for the time being, although I know he’d guzzle it up straight away, because I don’t want him to be on a pure dry food diet (he’s had issues with infections and dehydration when he was younger because of dry food). I also know if I put tuna in with his food he’d eat it up but I done that in the past and then he wouldn’t eat WITHOUT the tuna in his food, which I know isn’t good for him.
I’m only slightly concerned as it stands as I know there are ways to get him to eat if it goes on for another day, but I’d really like for him to get eating the wet food again to give a more balanced diet.
Any suggestions?
