I have a mainecoon cat and every night he wont stop splashing his water out of his fountain we wake up every morning to tons of water on the floor. He wont drink anything that is stagnant so we have to keep buying him new fountains but he has already ruined two fountains all ready and i fear it will be a third very soon not to mention the amount of water that gets wasted because of that. We were thinking maybe to put a mesh or something to stop him from splashing on the actual pool part of the fountain but we worry about the mesh degrading. so if anyone can tell us how to stop this behavior or a solution to stop him from being able to splash would be a great help.
