Hey, r/Pets! My cat recently was locked in a room without food or water for a few (8) hours and ended up scratching up the carpet around my door. His scratching, however, came to a halt when he cut his paw on a nail. So far, the scratch doesn't seem to be major and my cat (Bobo) has been acting fine and just as playful as he used to be. The cut isn't bugging him much other than the fact that when I poke it, he flinches slightly and doesn't react any more than that. There is also a distinctly poor smell. I wanted to ask you guys if you think we should see the vet about the issue. I know most of you would believe that we should take him just in case, however, the vet is very expensive and my family is not in the place to take him over nothing. Thanks so much! Image here
