Getting a Cat in College: Moving Question

Hey everyone, I'm a junior in college and looking to get a cat over the summer for my senior year. I've had cats all my life growing up with my family, but going to college 4 hours away from home has made the last few years without a cat pretty tough. I know I would like a cat of my own, and I am more than ready to take care of it well past my graduation and into the next part of my life.

With all that out of the way, my main question is this: I will be going back home a few times throughout the year, will that be ok for my cat? I know that cats are very territorial and do not like having to adjust to a new place. I will be going back home ~4 hours away for about a week for Thanksgiving, 3 weeks for Christmas, and about 1 week for spring break. I don't think that's too much, but a part of me is worried about how the cat will react to adjusting to a new place. Any thoughts or tips for anyone who has been in a similar situation? Thanks!

TLDR: Is it ok to bring a cat to a different location several times per year?
