My girlfriend & I are living with roommates who are both our best friends from college. We're in the middle of our second year living together the four of us, and we all get along very well. My girlfriend & I want to get a kitten and our roommates are both on board. We're concerned about how much time the roommates will spend with the kitten. Is it possible that the kitten would imprint on one of them instead of us & like them better? Obviously if there's a kitten around then they'll want to play with it, so how do we keep the kitten hanging out with us & sleeping in our room? Our room is the only room in the basement of the house, so we will keep the food/water/litter box in the basement with us, but what else can we do to maintain that the cat is ours & does not belong to the house as a whole?
