Have to move soon - nervous about cat

So, in the next month or so, I'm going to be moving to another apartment. It's more abrupt than I would like, but it is what it is. I'm anxious, since I'm not sure how my cat will handle it, and mostly, I'm worried she'll run out while the movers and I are carrying stuff in and out. She's a strictly indoor cat, but will bolt out the door first chance she gets. I live in a small apartment now, so locking her away in a room during the move isn't really an option either.

I have no one to leave her that doesn't already have a pet, or anyone I could trust to be mindful as to not let her run out. I don't want to keep her in a cat carrier the whole time either, as her inevitable screams of horror/betrayal will make me feel guilty as hell.

Anyone have any experience/tips with this? I'm willing to buy a larger cage, but I know she'll freak out in that too. Thanks in advance.
