I have never owned a Sugar Glider. Someone I know has a female that is 4 years old and just leaves it in its cage all day. The Glider is very timid. The person said they would sale her to me for $200 including cage. What am I in for? Can I allow it out of its cage?
My house is kind of small I only have one spare room and it’s where I lift weights. I read not to put their cage in where you sleep. Is this true? I have a ton of room in my bedroom for a cage.
Also can you let them run around unattended in in your house for a few hours or do they always have to be under supervision?
I’m sure that the Glider will be better off with me then the person she is currently with even if I’m not the perfect owner. I know there is no comparison but I have rescued 3 dogs before. My vet was telling the nurse how lucky my newest dog was to be adopted by me “Because I take really good care of my animals”. So I will do whatever is needed if I end up purchasing her. I’m mostly hoped they aren’t too messy though.
