My cat is a cranky old man. We moved in July and he did NOT like it. He freaked out and we almost lost him. It was a terrible situation. Part of the issue is that we moved into a one bedroom and there wasn’t a good place for him to be while we moved stuff in. So he got stressed.
Fast forward to now, and we’re looking at closing on a house. Nothing is set in stone, but things are looking good that we’ll be moving in the next couple months.
How do I make a move less stressful for my cat? We already plan on setting up a room just for him with all his stuff. Including wet food, a kitty cave, a cat tree, his water jug and all his toys. We’re planning on keeping him there for a week so he can adjust slowly. I really want this move to go better for him.
