My boyfriend is moving out of his parents house in about a month to live with me in a studio apartment. Neither of us are self sufficient, I’m a college student and he’s never worked because he lives in the middle of nowhere and his parents are neglectful at best and abusive at worst; my parents are going to pay for the apartment out of their love for us and pity for him. His safety and mine are assured, but he can’t bring his cat because he sprays. He loves his cat beyond mention; he rescued his cat when he was a kitten and raised him. His cat has kept him sane and been a huge source of emotional support, and his parents are likely going to turn his cat out after he leaves, and it breaks both his heart and mine. Does anyone know of a way we could ensure his cat is kept safe and cared for? If anyone can help please let me know. This is around the Texas and Oklahoma areas.
