I grew up having dogs around me constantly. They were my best friends when I had none. But for him, he’s allergic and has only had bad experiences with dogs. When I was younger I knew I needed to own a dog of my own one day. People who are in the same boat, you know how strong that feeling can be. So, I’m at the age where I’m thinking of getting a dog, but my boyfriend doesn’t want one at all. We’ve been together for 3 years, and recently moved in together. I knew this day would come and he would be hesitant. Is there any way I can get him to be more comfortable around dogs or the idea of them? Or should I just give up on my love of dogs and be sad forever?
