She's a old lapdog , 12 years old. A bit smaller than your average Chihuahua. Has up to date shots and everything.
While my family was watching some TV, she was sitting on the couch next to my mother when suddenly her eyes got HUGE. She seemed to struggle to balance herself and her limbs all seemed to give out on her. She struggled to stay upright then slowly slid off the couch and fell onto the ground and couldn't move. We placed her upright and let her lay down on her belly for a good 5 minutes and she tried walking again. Within 20 minutes she was back to normal.
What happened? Was it some sort of paralysis? Is this normal amongst older dogs?
