My two male cats keep attacking my parent two older female cats. How can I stop this?

Okay so I currently live with my parents. My parents have 5 cats and 2 fosters. I also have 2 cats (yes I know, lots of kitties). My two boys love to both gang up on the two eldest cats in the house and brutally attack them. They’re fine with all the other cats in the house. It’s gotten to the point where one of the elder cats won’t even leave my parents bedroom. I’m not sure if it’s a dominance thing or what but it has to stop because the elder cats are starting to actually get hurt, or so scared that they’ll poop/pee themselves. How can I fix this?

Living with my parents is only temporary.

I should mention that back in 2014 we only had two cats, one of my current boys and another (different) older female cat. My boy used to attack her violently then as well and wouldn’t let her leave the litter box ever.

Why are they so mean?
