I have a 10 month old Pitbull Terrier and 2 cats. The dog goes in his crate during the day while I'm at work and the cats are in their own room which is basically a guest bedroom all of the time. We have had the pup for 3 months now and I am still working on getting the cats and dog to be at peace together. The dog gets very excited about the cats and the cats are curious but not all the way there yet.
I hate leaving the cats in their room all day, so my questions is: would it be a bad idea to let the cats roam (I don't think they would leave their room, honestly) during the day just so they aren't locked up all the time?
Any other advice is welcome too.
