I have a dwarf hamster in a crittertrail cage right now. Of course it’s not enough space for him so i was thinking of getting him a 20gal tank and putting it on my desk with secure mesh topping. I also have a 8 month old kitten in my apartment who LOVES staring at him but I get so paranoid whenever he’s around him because he just sits there and watches him, even getting close to him. Sorta like he’s hunting him. The cat can easily get on the table. I do not have another room to put the hamster in. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a roommate. Is it possible to train this instinct out of him? I know it sounds dumb but I just don’t want to come home and see a dead hamster in my cats mouth.
