Really clingy cat advice?

So my roommate adopted a wonderful little cat a few months ago and we both love her a lot. But Jesus, she is extremely clingy. My roommate almost always sleeps over at her boyfriend’s house so it’s usually just me and her and I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in SO long because she wakes me up at least twice every night by pawing or licking my face. Closing the door isn’t an option because she WILL just claw at it all night, and I mean ALL night.

We’ve tried a lot of things. Calming spray. Calming treats. An automatic laser pointer. A hunter-feeder system. Changing her feeding schedule. Nothing has worked, I’m still getting 5 hours on a good night.

I think a BIG part of this, too, is that she is obsessed with food. Like, all pets love food, I know, but I’ve dealt with a lot of cats and I’ve never seen a cat go as crazy as this one for food. It’s like all she thinks about, and I think half the time when she’s being clingy it’s because she wants me to feed her. The vet says her weight is perfect and we want to keep it that way, and if she eats more than we usually give her, she throws it up, so I don’t think we’re under-feeding her. I’ve tried googling how to slightly lower a cat’s appetite but everything that comes up is related to increasing a cat’s appetite.

Does anybody have any tips on how to fix her food habits?? Or really, just, does anyone have any tips on how I can get a good night’s sleep again...
