My cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, he’s 16, and has been taking subcutaneous fluids. He took the last one monday, and a few minutes later he wouldn’t stop shivering, I texted the vet and she said he could be in pain bc of the fluids and told me to give some meds, then he stopped. Today he started again, but I thought it could be just cold, it’s not that cold, but he’s a persian cat, and we cut his fur off bc it was easier to apply the sub fluids and also making some tests. I had to cover him under 3 blankets before he stop shivering, but then he was so warm he finally stopped and fell asleep. He’s sleeping now, and I’m just not sure how worried should I be?! His next appointment is on friday, so could I wait or should I rush to the vet now? What can it be?
Actually, it’s definitely not that cold, I live in Brazil, this last week was like 32ºc.
