So, my girlfriend and I are in college. I live with my parents and she lives in a college apartment. My girlfriend moved out of her old apartment, because her former roommate and her did not get along, and she wanted some piece of mind. So, my girlfriend moved into a new apartment a month ago and her roommate has a pit bull terrier.
To be 100% honest, I am not always comfortable with dogs. When I was a kid, was bitten by dogs when I went to pet them, I've been chased by and bitten by neighborhood dogs while jogging or bike riding and even my neighbor's dog bit me when I was a kid, so my dad told them to move out or we are suing them. So, as you can see, I've never had an easy time with dogs.
When I first went to my girlfriend's new apartment and I met her roommate's dog, he jumped up on me a couple times, but he pretty much left me alone. I've been coming in and out of my girlfriend's new apartment for a month and coming into contact with the dog without any issues... until 2 days ago.
When I went to my girlfriend's apartment on Friday night after our workout, her roommate's room door was open and her dog came out of the room to greet us and had a toy in it's mouth. As my girlfriend was unlocking her room door, the dog would ram the toy against our legs.
Then, the dog kind of looked at me, dropped the toy and jumped on me. I didn't think much of it. Then, when he jumped down, he bit my hand and I screamed "OUCH"! My girlfriend reprimanded the dog and her roommate didn't say anything. Then, after my girlfriend unlocked her room door, the dog kind of followed us until we shut the door in his face. Nobody said anything more about what just happened after that and we kinda brushed it off.
Then, yesterday, I went back to my girlfriend's apartment after our date. As soon as my girlfriend unlocked her room door, the dog came out of her roommate's room, made his way towards me and tried to bite my hand again. I moved my hand just in time and you could hear the dog's teeth chomping down as he missed my hand.
My girlfriend yelled at the dog, and then her roommate chimed in and said from her room, "NO! STOP! COME HERE!" The dog obviously didn't come and as we were trying to go into my girlfriend's room, it followed us again and I could here my girlfriend's roommate say, "I'm so sorry", and we shut the door on his face again.
This is the 2nd time in 2 days the dog tried to bite me.
