Hi all,
I will be adding a second kitty to my home in June
A part of me is excited and enthusiastic about finally getting a kitten together with my 2 year old resident cat but another part of me feels this weird feeling of uncertainty and appreciativeness for my current cat and the way she likes to come to me for pets or sleeps next to my head while I'm in bed - things of that nature
I can't help but feel like I'm making a mistake that will complicate my life more than I need to- Is this normal?
I remember feeling slightly similar when It came time to pick up my current girl almost a year ago - but have never regretted my decision since Do you think it's the same feeling and it's warranted?
Were there any financial things or otherwise that surprised you about getting more than one in your household? As far as I understand I should be prepared to spend money on essentially double the litter / food / treats / annual vet care
Thank you so much for hearing me out , I'm just a bit nervous even though it's quite aways away
