Well two questions, I've been doing research on Green Cheeked Conures for a while now and I'm curious about adopting one, but I am curious about two things. They are very personal questions so I haven't found much in regards and I'm hoping someone here has some life experience with these curiosities.
I'm employed from home.I do art for my job and online gaming is my hobby. While I'm gaming I'm normally on call with some friends. I intend to have my bird completely and totally implemented into my life, aka on my shoulder around my room the majority of the time so they may interact with me as I wish. I would love them to be around me while gaming, but Im worried about sudden screaming.
Are any of you gamers? Do you have problems with your birds and if so what do you do about it?
My second question is because of my job and hobby I'm normally up fairly late. The bird would probably be in my room and I'd be willing to get a dark cover and turn off my bright lights for my feathered friend but would that be enough? I know they need 12 solid hours of sleep, they can break it up with nap time in the middle of the day but I was curious if a blackout curtain and limited noise would be enough for my bird to go to sleep at 9 before me? Or should I simply keep the bird up with me and adjust their morning wake up time to later in the day?
Any information is greatly appreciated.
