I've had a rescue tabby for several years, but she's never been very friendly. She's an outside cat, because if we try to keep her in she just loses her mind trying to escape. The problem is that she's out 90% of the time and only really comes in to eat and drink. I really want to feel like I actually own a cat rather than just feed a stray which is what it feels like at the moment. To clarify, she's a very very gentle girl; one of the most gentle cats I've ever met, and she loves to be brushed, but that's about it. She has no interest in play, cuddles or anything else really. She just comes in 1-2 times a day, eats, gets a brush and then goes out again. Does anyone know of any tips to make her more loving? I've looked at a lot of sites with tips but most of them seem to relate to making aggressive cats friendlier. I feel like it's a bit of a lost cause but I'm giving it a shot anyway. (I never try to force her into anything she doesn't want to do).
