My kitty is almost 15 years old and overall he is healthy for his age. However he is showing signs of aging....I have him on medicine for a few age related health issues with his thyroid, he no longer can jump up on things as easily (I am buying him a ramp for my bed), he has gained a little weight and soon he might need a special diet for his kidneys. Even though he might have a lot more time, I get really sad about seeing my once active and muscular kitty start aging. Ive had pets grow old and die before but he is my favorite cat ever and has gotten me through a lot. Sometimes when my friends introduce me to their younger dogs and cats I even get a little jealous that they have so much more time left with their pets than me. I know its stupid because aging is natural but I guess I just needed to vent and wonder if anyone else feels similar.
