We have two cats and the older one has always been a bit odd. She likes the kitten (and complains and acts worried whenever the kitten is away), but recently - within the last month - she's developed a habit of being much more verbal, even when all her body language is happy and relaxed. She even made little growling noises when she got her favorite treat and was sitting there cleaning herself. Not "yum yum" noises, actual growling.
I'm worried she might be developing some vision or hearing problems, or that something is scaring her when I'm not home, and we are planning on taking her to the vet, but in the meantime has anyone else experienced something like this?
