Henry, my 2.5 year old cat, peed on my roommate’s bed today. I immediately went out and bought enzyme cleaner and oxycleaner to lift the stain and odor. The stains are lifted but still waiting for the cleanup to dry to determine what the smell will be like (so far, just strong smell of the cleaner). Unfortunately, this roommate is particularly unbearable to live with and pretty insensible, so she believes the only solution is to buy her a new $700 mattress—something I cannot afford at this time. Henry has peed on things before and after 3 visits to the vet, a diet change, multiple litter and box types, feliway, and anti-anxiety meds, it seems the issue is pervasive. Any advice from those who’ve struggled with this issue before, either incessant cat pee or a difficult roommate (or both)?
