For background, I'm a freshman college student at a school in Colorado. I'm moving into an apartment at the end of the school year, and my roommates will be going home so it'll be just me all summer. A cat or dog seem like way too much work and time right now, so I'm looking into other options. Any suggestions for something that could provide companionship and is decently affordable while being able to live in an apartment? Bonus points for it not being very loud so I don't have to soundproof my bedroom as to not annoy my roommates.
