I feel that my vet pushes me to buy things that are unnecessary. For example, my dog has some issues with hair loss on his tail, and she told me I need to come in and buy a medicated shampoo from them for about $25. I asked if I could find the shampoo at a pet store or online, and she said no, I have to come in and buy this specific shampoo. I found some similar shampoos online for about $8.
It just rubbed me the wrong way... I feel that I'm being pressured to buy things for the sake of their commission. Sometimes I feel that I'm pressured to pay for expensive tests on my dog that he doesn't need as well. Any thoughts on this?
