Hello everyone! My wife really wants to get a dog for the family as we have a 2 & 5 y.o. and we both had dogs when we were kids growing up. We live in a house with a 30x30 backyard, which isn’t huge, but decent enough. We both work full-time, however, there would only be 1 day a week where someone wasn’t home with the dog. We have 2 cats, ages 7 and 5, but have never owned a dog before (as adults).
My wife wants to get an Australian Shepherd, Collie, or Husky. I feel we would be better off with a Lab or Golden Retriever.
Any suggestions or advice on which breed would better fit our family?
